Cooperative Allium, Etri Community in cooperation with Institute Trust
Etri community were partners in an Interreg Mediterranean program project called “CreativeWear-Creative Clothing for the Mediterranean Space” (short CreativeWear).
The aim of the project was to increase the share of the textile industry in Europe, while promoting technological development, socially responsible behavior and ergonomics of the industry. As part of the partnership in the project, the Etri community was carrying out activities in a Slovenian pilot called COF and based in Metlika. The abbreviation COF means “creative coworking factory”.
CreativeWear represents an extension of the existing TCBL project, which complements the technological-industrial approach with social innovation, with the aim of returning 5% of the textile industry’s capacity to Europe while achieving a 20% reduction in environmental impact by 2025, and returning creative clusters to the Mediterranean. their integration into the wider TCBL ecosystem.
CreativeWear aims to recover and value the design heritage and knowledge of textile and clothing production in Mediterranean cultures, and to bring new impetus to the sector’s creative clusters by strengthening their creative capacities and integrating their activities into emerging transnational value chains. (CreativeMED).
CreativeWear tests the implementation of the networking model introduced by the TCBL (H2020) project into existing creative clusters, such as museums, creative intersections, fashion schools, design centers, volunteer organizations, and more. The H2020-TCBL networking model combines design, fabrication and workshops (i.e. Place Labs) with business pilots and innovative business model scenarios.
